Moreover, prolonged storage periods, combined with the presence of heat and moisture within grain piles in warehouses, can lead to accumulation phenomena—issues that pose certain risks to storage operations.
Generally speaking, the ventilation requirements and technical parameters for this period should comply with the requirements of the "Technical Specifications for Grain and Oil Storage." It is recommended to use grain coolers for initial cooling. To save costs, if low-temperature storage is not required, axial-flow fans can also be used for ventilation. This approach is both simple and convenient, but it places relatively strict demands on ventilation duration and atmospheric parameters.
During this period, short-term ventilation can achieve two objectives: one is to balance the temperature and humidity within the warehouse, which can effectively prevent localized condensation and overheating, thus setting a solid foundation for the next stage of storage. The second is to promptly locate the grains in the pile. After the issue is resolved, a microcomputer can be used to promptly detect high-temperature points and carry out timely inspections and repairs, thereby preventing potential hazards.
