When the textile air-conditioning system operates automatically, it creates negative pressure inside the chamber. This negative pressure forces airflow from the external space—through the porous wet curtain surface—causing the dry-bulb temperature of the air passing through the curtain to drop close to the wet-bulb temperature of the external air. As a result, the dry-bulb temperature at the outlet is 5–12 degrees lower than the outdoor dry-bulb temperature (in arid and hot regions, this difference can reach up to 15 degrees). The drier and hotter the air outside, the greater the temperature difference, and the more effective the cooling performance becomes.
